Kill me, California

California,

It’s a cycle, a hideous two-faced double-decker of a snap-kicking monster.  The things we eat, the things we buy, its all consuming in different shapes and forms.

The notion to vote.  To break through the archaic demi-glaze, slant at a 45 degree angle and be sharp to your velcro counterpart.  Take what you can from the institutions around you but in the end only use them as platforms to progress your own ideas, roll with your own opinions, never be swayed by the softest wind or sea wave current.  Root deep and let not the evil spirits penetrate your meshy membrane.

To incision the brain, the powerful tool named M.  M now, is the way we progress in the shallow ponds of Earth, M is how we remember and memories mean everything.  M is powerful, as it sways and thinks, rests its feet, waiting for the right moment to process information, forming graphical equations, memorizing patterns of cycles, distributing energy to everyday functions, rationing energy and fuel, and constantly churning those wheels we call gears.  Use M to expand and see pass those blank stares, those souls caught in the drift of society, the ocean sea current sucking you dry.

Where is your signature?  What do these colors mean to you anyway?  Which path are you following and did you bring enough water?  The passage is treacherous, but well deserved and gratifying at the end of the road, the sliver of light.

To shine to the world, leading by example holding the torch, the burdens and the stresses of the world wielded upon your shoulders.

With trials of temptation and tarnished gold necklaces come rebirth of culture and new life. Gather your materials we’re going on an adventure.

Oh, don’t forget your pilot paint pens too...

Hi,
I've been told that the explanation helps a lot so I just went ahead and posted it below the poem. I've written poetry since middle school but I haven't started learning about form until recently. It helps a lot to just read as many poems as possible and get an understanding of past works. Something that got me interested in the form was that everyone doesn't 'hear' poetry, you can see it too. You can physically make the poetry look like a design, and determine the shape of the poetry as well. This gives life to the poem itself. The way you hear it, look at it, feel it, you can control your poem in all sorts of dimensions. It's kind of the way you have intricate pictures and change your layout with all kinds of cool additions--it makes it you and very unique. What Pound did was the opposite of everyone else. He wanted to make poetry with the least amount of words to make the most sense. I am generally a very wordy person so I decided to give it a shot because what he said made sense to me, but I made it mine by physically changing the syllabic count, line, and word choice. You can become a designer which is really cool. I still have a lot to learn and I guess that's what makes it so exciting.
About the other post that has to do with Evil, I didn't enjoy reading it. I hated that I had surrendered to the idea that you can never escape evil in that prose/poem (I'm not sure what it is). Even though it was just an expression of that moment and time, it was disturbing to me. Maybe I'll post it up again in the future. But I didn't want to introduce the idea that the Devil was an artist (a musician). That our imaginations and our creativity is shared and what can be inspiring can be the very pitfall. Essentially, 'Evil is as inspiring as good' and we will never know the difference. It's still an idea that I'm grasping with so maybe I will edit it and repost.
I'm surprised you haven't learned much about writing because you're very talented. I guess the 'keep writing' would be more like prose. But if you're like me, I don't know what it is I write as well. I guess in a way you're finding your own form, deciding whether the readers' reactions or the poets' translation is more important. or if common men should understand it and big words should be avoided, or there should be dazzling words with a musical quality. your writing can be pure emotion or a reflection or quiet meditation of what you encountered/the image you have in mind. The style that makes you, you makes you a poet (ah, bad explanation) I hope you got somewhat of an idea. But I'm very excited to read more of your work and see how you grow.
peace.
