TPE2010: first time to taiwan with a film camera

Taiwan 2010 favorite moments.

film cameras: nikon f3hp, olympus stylus epic
film: kodak tmax 400, fuji natura 1600, kodak tri-x 400

Fresh flowers at KTV lobby.

Family dinner.

My great aunt and uncle.

One of my favorite portraits of my Asia trip.

Yes.

People wondered why I always took pictures of the older buildings in Taipei, they said it was so ugly. It was because in the 2nd grade I passed by these buildings everyday during traffic hours in a small van full of strangers, and now they're slowly being torn down and replaced by shiny glass ones.

Not a pair of eyes were on me.

Last meal: pigs blood soup among others.

Thanks for showing me around.

Especially to THESE.

Fond memories here as a child.

B&W nature

An older roll, posting some photos that never saw light, so to speak. B&W kills.

San Francisco 1: Grain Days

Successfully left my dslr at home. It was harder than you'd think. I captured my entire trip on film. A lot of people ask what the difference is between film and digital...

"Film is original and believable, whereas digital is about fabrication and illusion. Film involves a ritual and an economy that focuses the eye and mind." - Bob Carlos Clarke

I totally agree with him. The digital age is starting to make us question our very reality.

Portrait: Diana Jou

As you can see, I'm starting to like people more and more. I find that chasing clouds can be stimulating, but as humans we don't relate to clouds as well. A friend of mine once told me that art about humans speaks to us more, she was right.

Diana Jou, I hope to design for her magazine one day (again). She has an amazing spirit I would only hope to capture.

Portrait: Stern Omar

He was stern, wearing the what if i was an artist T by Riot Five (now 12FV) circa 2006. It was great doing your headshots, Omar, future dj. We agreed that this would make a great album cover.
