Japanese tourists like to wear matching sandals, California tourists look like they don't give a damn.
The sun was beating on our backs.
These were the critters of doom that awaited us at Hanauma Bay snorkling, luckily we stabbed each that came in our paths. The sea urchins were all hiding in their caves and crevices; if they were to come out to chill on the reef, we would've been paralyzed and mangled on the reefs.
We watched a sunset with a kite surfer parading the skies.
The colors were fantastic.
The foliage really inspires creativity over here.
And the colors, the colors really set the mood. They put you into a new perspective, each shade determining emotion and anxiety, each shade dictating our sensory pleasures.
This street is my favorite to ride under during the day, the trees intertwine against the sky casting an array of shadows and light patterns tattooing the cement.
One of our favorite ramen/gyoza spots on Koa street in Waikiki. The man behind the curtains hand-makes delicious jumbo gyozas. A Japanese restaurant run by a multi-lingual Chinese man.
They really did. They reminded me of my youth and Slam Dunk Mangas. Like this.
My roommate, airplane-met from the east coast, rides around handing out fliers, what a champ. Second roommate is trying to email Tops to be an official sponsor to try to have them send us boxes of free Tops for us to promote.
I don't know what my obsession is with ambulances and cop cars but I think it goes back to my obsession with Legos and Micro Machines, they really made you enjoy service cars and utility vehicles and fire trucks and tanks. And semis, and there was this retro pack with mustangs and cameros that I fancied. Then you get into rockets and jets and spaceships and medieval battles and pirates and war with dual-yielding semi-automatics and a machete strapped to your thigh screaming at the top of your lungs defending the bunker before the flame thrower guy comes. But thats all another story.
The point is, inspiration, creativity and drawing have been at an all-time-high. As well as nature hikes, mopeds, sunsets and bomb Asian food. Also finally linked 12fv.com to the blog, the blog was down for a few days.
