In search of light

A study of contrast, light and shadows, angles and vertices, symmetry, halos, critters, floral print, the absorbing nature of concrete, and not photoshopping dust debree and other scanner bed doodads.

This was my first time shooting with my then-newly-used Olympus Stylus Epic. This was also my first time trying 1600 speed film.

neopan 1600, stylus epic, various locations in Southern California, 12FV.

I'll stop and get out of my car for these.

And sometimes I'll stay in my car for these.

Blinds offer a staggering amount of symmetry.

This donut shop has nice wood.

This critter was caught taking the electric highway. We had a stare-off, he eventually backed down and proceeded to reverse his way back into the shadows.

"Nothing to declare"

These critters were catching the light in a fun way.

Porosity.

Luminosity.

Ephemerality of life and scanner bed doodads.

12FV(enjoying black & whites).

1600 film is pretty fun to use, i treated it like a night-time shooter
