NYC11: 1. First Days

Documenting my 2 week adventure in NYC. I definitely don't feel the loneliness and social separation I felt in Japan. Granted it's only my third day here, the change of pace is refreshing! Really excited to be scoping out some domestic cities in the coming year as it gives me insight to how we live back in California. Although California is where I grew up there are many lessons to be learned while being away.

Ilford xp2, Nikon f3hp, LAX, Brooklyn, West Village, East Village, Soho.

Trying to understand why I like mountains and buildings: They both offer us a sense of scale, a sense of humility.

Prospect Heights, Brooklyn.

My tour guide for the weekend, Guy.

Thomas, an architect with amazing work.

He was reluctant of this picture, but I assured him his pose behind the counter was great.

Taha late to Ippudo, some things never change. "That Taha picture is so Taha" - Guy.

St. Marks.
