Coachella 2011 Day 1: a familiar scene

Coachella 2011, where do I begin? A few days before the weekend lookbook.nu asked me to take some photos for a spread they wanted to have about Coachella. They told me they liked my photos and wanted me to portray the weekend how I saw it. I found this to be the perfect opportunity and picked up a few extra rolls of film. I overcame a large fear this weekend: asking strangers for their photograph. This collaboration with lookbook gave me the push I needed to photograph people I didn't know. I'm slowly starting to realize that we can learn a lot from strangers if we just took a few moments to appreciate them. Take a look at my spread here.
